With a little more luck, Jean Morissette might have tended goal for the Canadiens for a good part of the 1963-64 season. On October 30, Morrissette came in to replace Lorne Worsley, who suffered a pulled leg muscle that would keep him out for the remainder of the season.
Two days later, Morissette's cheekbone was broken, and Charlie Hodge was called in to take over, spelling the end of Morrissette's NHL career. He played 36 minutes allowing 4 goals and was credited with the lost.
