"Enduring" is a good word to describe Lorne Worsley's NHL career. "Gump" played 21 seasons with the New York Rangers, the Montreal Canadiens and the Minnesota North Stars. In all, he enjoyed 24 years in pro hockey.

Maniago is another solid goaltender who made his mark on the NHL thanks to expansion. Maniago's odyssey began in 1960-61 with the Leafs, with whom he played seven games (including the game in which Bernie Geoffrion scored his 50th goal of the season).

On March 19th, 1959, Claude Cyr replaced Pronovost, who was filling in for Jacques Plante, sidelined by stomach problems. It was Cyr's only NHL game, playing one period and allowing one goal.
